The Story
MChana writes songs the way a sculptor works stone — stripping away everything unnecessary until only the truth remains. Armed with a battered acoustic guitar and a voice that's equal parts gravel and grace, he crafts intimate narratives about love, loss, displacement, and the quiet heroism of ordinary lives.
His debut album on Singh Sound Syndicate earned him comparisons to Leonard Cohen and Nick Drake, though his sound owes just as much to Hindustani classical music as it does to the Laurel Canyon tradition. His live performances — often just him, a guitar, and a single bare lightbulb — are legendary for their raw emotional power.
